Italian sailing Bargue sunk in Devon waters of Lyme Bay, 7 October 1876. Items recovered from the wreck of the Berar located near the undercliff, west of Charlton Bay (Lyme Regis).

Items recovered from the wreck of the Berar located near the undercliff, west of Charlton Bay (Lyme Regis): 1 x deadlight (1); 2 x brass pump valves; 3 x items of silver cutlery; 1 x brass armvalve/leaver with lead counterweight; 1 x clock? Gear, assorted crockery (broken); 1 x oil lamp (burners only); 1 x octant (2).

This wreck is in Devon!

… GPS; 50 41.90N; 03 00.29W. Captain L. Bertolotte. Cargo: Large quantities of sawn timber. This is veery much a Devon wreck going asore at a point between Culverhole Point and the centre of Charlton Bay but accessible from Weymouth/Portland. (4).
