Full Description

The ADA was sunk by gunfire from an unidentified German submarine, whilst en route from London to Landernau. The vessel was carrying a cargo of manure (1). It was built in 1872 by D Egan, Prince Edward Island and owned by G B Joiner. It was registered in Faversham. G E Joiner was the captain. The ship was 187 gross tons, had one deck and was partly fixed with iron bolts. (1-3)
