Summary

Parts of a late 19th century ropewalk and an early to mid 20th century ropewalk survive on the west side of the Dreadnought Trading Estate, to the south of West Allington.

Full Description

An early to mid 20th century ropewalk of three phases on a north south axis survives on the west side of the Dreadnought Trading Estate. The west elevation is rendered, the windows are metal-framed, and the roof is of corrugated asbestos. There are parts of a late 19th century ropewalk, built of red brick and with a slate roof, along the east side of the north end. The site extends to the rear of the houses on West Allington road to the north. <2>
