Stranded/Total Loss (1) `A vessel laden with oranges, was totally wrecked on Monday night, near St. Albans Head. (2) `The HOPE, Wildman, from St. Michael's to London, was lost on 10th instant, near St. Albans Head. (3) Master: Wildman Date of Loss Qualifier: A
The building date for this vessel is an estimate based on an average age at wrecking of twenty years. This average is derived from those vessels wrecked on the Dorset coast whose age at wrecking is known.
