`The N S DE NAZARETH, -, Fereira, from Lisbon for Havre, is beat to pieces near Kimridge in the Isle of Purbeck, and very little of the cargo saved. (1) The vessels name has been reconstructed in Portuguese. Master: Fereira Date of Loss Qualifier: A

London December 23: " The NOSTRA SENIORA NAZERET, Fererci, from Lisbon for Havre, is beat to pieces near Kinneridge, in the Isle of Purbeck; but the people are saved." (2)

The building date for this vessel is an estimate based on an average age at wrecking of twenty years. This average is derived from those vessels wrecked on the Dorset coast whose age at wrecking is known.
