Full Description

Year Built: 1814 Crew: 5 Crew Lost: 5 Date of Loss Qualifier: A ` - this schooner struck near Kimmeridge Ledges, her seamen seen by the Coastguards clinging to the rigging as the sea kept breaking over them. Meanwhile several boats were launched to assist them but were driven to leeward and back on the beach, risking their lives to try to save the crew. The vessel keeled over, and no more was seen of the men. Wind conditions W force 10.
