From the London Evening Post, September 3...Our merchants have advice, that the JAMES AND MAGDALEN, Capt. Bowen, with grocery wares from Bristol for London, ran ashore on Portland Beach, and the wind blowing hard, she bilged, and the ship and cargo were lost, but the men were happily saved.
