Full Description

Low stone range of one storey plus loft with slate roof to the north of the late-19th century corn mill. Probably built in the early to mid-19th century, the building has several phases and has been heavily modified. The range predates the corn mill and may therefore be associated with the earlier use of the site as a hemp balling mill. The section adjoining the corn mill has a wide arched opening facing the headrace to the east of the site, suggesting it was a wheelhouse. (1-4)

A lease of 1864 mentions a bolling mill on this site as well as the grist mill (4).
