Full Description

Whilst this ships name and master would appear Dutch, the reference source reports the vessel as Norwegian. [Entry under the name of DE TRENDE SODIKENDE]. (3) `The THREE RELATIONS, Keir, from Cork to Norway; the CONCORD, -, and the RODNEY, Hawetn, from Topsham to Sunderland, in ballast, are lost on Portland Beach; crew saved. (2) Weymouth September 27th: On Sunday morning last were driven on shore in a violent gale of wind, on the beach near Abbotsbury, a ship called DE TRENDE SODSKENDE, burthen about 300 tons, belonging to Dram in Norway, Hendrick Kear master, from Cork bound for Dram in ballast...the crews are all saved but it is feared the ships will be lost. (4) Source (3) contains 3 entries for this vessel: as DE TRENDE SODIKENDE; under the English translation of its name, THREE RELATIONS; and under DETS, all with the date of 26-SEP-1799.
