Full Description

The CHARLOTTE sank at anchor in wind conditions variable force 3, fine. Crew saved in their own boat. Divers were employed to get up the cargo, after which the hull was weighed and floated into shallow water and abandoned. (1)(3) `Weymouth 10th September - The CHARLOTTE (schooner) of Plymouth, Miller, laden with stone, sank in Portland Roads yesterday - crew saved. (4)
