`Drove ashore at the West beach, opposite Wyke in an abandoned condition. Wind conditions WSW. force 9, weather very thick. Loss on vessel £250; loss on cargo £30. (1)(3) `The HORATIO (smack) of and from Guernsey for Plymouth, has been driven on shore, having been in collision with a Swedish schooner; passengers saved; the crew got on board the schooner and were landed at West Bay by a pilot boat.
