Full Description

Built: 1859 Owner: C. Symons, Bridgewater Master: G. Nocholls Crew: 4 Date of Loss Qualifier: A The crew clambered over the bowsprit with their baggage to reach safety after the vessel struck the breakwater. They were taken in by the artillery men and housed in the breakwater fort. The vessel sat with her stern underwater and her bow high up on the rocks, with little or no hope of saving her. (1) Lost on Portland Breakwater in a SSW 10.(3)
