Full Description

Built: 1858 Crew: 4 Crew Lost: 1 Master: Anthony Michael Date of Loss Qualifier: A `Struck on Chesil Beach...and has become a total wreck. Had been heading for Portsmouth harbour due to choked pumps...the starboard side stove and the whole of the cargo washed out and lost. The rigging, sails, and anchors, chains etc, have been saved. (2) The pumps choked off Start Point in wind conditions SW force 7. The crewman lost was John Flynn. Vessel valued at £380; cargo valued at £750. (3) 14-JAN, OCEAN BRIDE stranded and became a total loss on Chesil Beach in SW 7.(4)(5)
