29-OCT-1993 Cargo possibly cement. (1)

14-SEP-1990 Uncharted wreck dived recently approximately 4 miles west of Portland Bill. Small steamship about 150 feet long. Riveted construction. Little sign of cargo other than some bagged cement, or similar. Appears to have been sunk by gunfire. Wreck identified by the name on the bell, may have been a former name, in position 50 13.58N 002 33.70W with a cargo of cement. She sits 8m upright on a sandy bottom in 38m, commonly known as the lobster wreck.(2) A toilet bowl recovered from this wreck 8 miles south west of Portland (Droit A/840). (3)
