Full Description
`The CHESTERFIELD by-boat, arrived at Weymouth from Guernsey, fell in with on Saturday, a few leagues to the southward of Portland, the masts and yards of a brig (supposed foreign) of about 150 tons. Date of Loss Qualifier: R (1)
The building date for this vessel is an estimate based on an average age at wrecking of twenty years. This average is derived from those vessels wrecked on the Dorset coast whose age at wrecking is known.
