`Weymouth 11th. The YOUNG FERDINAND, Smith, belonging to Nieuport, from London to St. Martins, in ballast, is on shore on Portland Beach, the people saved, and as the weather is moderate, was in hopes she might be got off next spring tide; but the lawless banditti of the coast, cut and carried away her mast in the night. (1)(2) Destination possibly the Dutch possession of Sint Maarten in the Lesser Antilles, rather than a destination with an English version of that name. Master: Smith Date of Loss Qualifier: R
