Where Built: Port Glasgow Engine HP: 98 Boilers: 1 Propulsion: Screw driven, 4 cylinder triple expansion engine Owner: Stone and Coombs Master: R J Evans Construction: Q.deck 79ft.;b.deck 37ft.;f.castle 30ft.;1 x deck; well deck. On the morning of the 13th March 1911 the small steamship Jason ran onto rocks off Portland. The Weymouth lifeboat Friern Watch stood by as three steam tugs managed to get lines on board and eventually managed to tow her off. (3)
