Full Description

`Boatguards in a galley saved eight crew from this barque which went ashore in a southerly gale. This earned a silver medal for Lieut. Parsons RN., chief officer of Bournebottom Coastguards, who coaxed the galley manned by four of his men. They also saved four out of five men from a lifeboat of Sir Percy Shelly's yacht, which had put out to help but been capsized in heavy seas. (1)(3)
