Full Description

The DEUX AMIE, Kemp, from Westerwick in Sweden to Nantz, is on shore near Bridport. The cargo will be saved. (2) Stranded / Total Loss (3) Source (3) spells the name of the vessel incorrectly as DUEX AMIE; nor is the name in source (2) correct French, so alternative versions as DEUX AMIS/DEUX AMIES have been given. The building date for this vessel is an estimate based on an average age at wrecking of twenty years. This average is derived from those vessels wrecked on the Dorset coast whose age at wrecking is known.
