Year Built: 1870 Crew: 2 Date of Loss Qualifier: A Stranded / Total Loss. (2)
Spritsail barge, carrying cement, lost West Bay near Portland. (3)
The Lancelot was a spritsail barge which ran ashore in bad weather on 27th November 1909, just to the west of the harbour piers at West Bay. Her rigging was much damaged, but she was otherwise intact. At the next spring tide she was towed of the beach and round into West Bay harbour where she was repaired.(5)
