Full Description

Four vessels drifted out of The Cobb. They were the SPECK, brigantine, and the PANDA , schooner, both belonging to Mr. Walker; The VULCAN, schooner, belonging to Mr. Fowler, and the ANN AND EMILY, schooner, owned by Messrs. Osborne and England. The ELIZABETH and ANN, belonging to Mr. Dixon, remains sunk in the Cobb with her stern knocked away. Some of the vessels were partly laden with coal, the greater part of which will be lost. The shores, which are strewn with the wreck, were visited by hundreds of people during the day.
