Full Description
One of 4 slit trenches positioned to stop the enemy getting to the top of the island via the Incline Road, this being the only road up from the Naval Base on the E side of the island. [Informant: Gordon Black, resident at 'The Grove' during WW2].At The Grove, E of the Incline Road by the Engine Sheds and near to the original 'Hole-in-the-Wall'. <1-3>
