Full Description

At foot of hill beneath Allan Williams Turret are the remains of brick foundations of a possible accommodation hut.

East side - 2 rows of bricks: 14ft 8ins x 8ins.

West side - 10 bricks placed east to west: 3ft 7ins x 8.5ins - possible entrance. Total width: 16ft 2ins.

North side - bare earth strip measuring 15ft, indicating some sort of former surface.

Earth markings of both east and west lines appear to extend some short way beyond wire fence into undergrowth, so length probably inaccurate.

No markings visible on south side, but have probably become overgrown. On downs at Seacombe (Dorset coastal path) and overlooking footpath down to natural harbour inlet. <1>
