Summary

A large group of Second World War anti-tank blocks are visible on 1946 RAF aerial photographs, located at the mouth of a cove south of Bindon Range (MDO29420). These have since been moved to a new location, approximately 20m to the south-east (MDO29421), probably as a form of sea defence for the sewage outfall pipe here.

Anti-tank blocks, now DESTROYED at Arish Mell, Lulworth military firing range, Lulworth. <1-3>

A large group of Second World War anti-tank blocks are visible on 1946 RAF aerial photographs (2), located at the mouth of a cove south of Bindon Range (MDO29420). They were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). The most recent comprehensive aerial photographs available to the project <4-6> indicate that these have since been moved to a new location, approximately 20m to the south-east (MDO29421), probably as a form of sea defence for the sewage outfall pipe here.
