Monument record MWX1419 - Second World War pillbox, Nothe Fort, Weymouth

A Second World War pillbox, with long, narrow embrasure, built on outside wall of Nothe Fort. This structure is visible on aerial photographs of Nothe Fort and was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).

Pillbox, with long, narrow embrasure, built on outside wall of Nothe Fort. Breeze block shuttered with reinforced concrete roof. Field of fire N into River Wey and Weymouth Bay. Has machine gun in situ [probably dummy]. [information available from Nothe Fort]. On outside wall of Nothe Fort, Weymouth. <1>
