Summary

A World War Two pillbox identified at Portland Castle. It was constructed in 1940-41, was built of concrete and had five or six-sides and a protected entrance. A field visit in 1998 located no traces of the structure.

A five or six-sided pillbox with protected entrance. DESTROYED. [Recorder saw pillbox on a photograph in a display at All Saints Church 1998/07/14]. Portland Castle - Castletown, Portland. <1-3>
