A Bronze Age pottery vessel described as a ridged food-vessel was found in the Christchurch locality. It is now in the Red House Museum, Christchurch.

Full Description

A Middle Bronze Age ridged food-vessel urn with everted rim, a cordon and girth groove between rim and shoulder. Of red ware and well-fired, it has an ornament of maggots impressed diagonally on the rim, cordon and shoulder. Found in the Christchurch locality; now in Red House Museum. (1)
