Full Description
Site of railway station, the terminal station of the Lyme Regis branch line. Opened in 1903 and closed in 1965. (1)
The station was the terminus of the Aminster and Lyme Regis Railway. Construction of the line between Axminster and Lyme began in June 1900. The line opened in 1903. In 1907, the line was absorbed by the LSWR. The line was closed in 1965 and the track lifted in 1967. (2)
The station was dismantled in 1979 and taken to the Mids Hants Railway, where it was re-erected at Alresford Station.
