Summary
A lime kiln recorded as ‘old limekiln’ on the second edition (1900-2) Ordnance Survey map, but not on the 1928 revision. The date of this kiln is not known but it is most likely to be late nineteenth century. The site was visited in 1992-93 by Peter Stanier, who recorded that very little (1-19%) of the kiln structure survived in poor condition. It was not possible to determine what type of kiln construction this was.
