Summary

One of two neighbouring cottages thought to have been built in the early seventeenth century. The buildings are single storey with attics, and the walls are a mixture of timber framing, brickwork and rubble.

‘Unless described otherwise, the following monuments in Cranborne village are of the 18th century and are two-storeyed, with brick walls and tiled roofs. … (16) Cottages (05511343), two adjacent, are single-storeyed with attics and have walls partly of timber framework and partly of brick and rubble; the roofs are thatched. They are probably of early 17th-century origin.’
