Summary

A parish church built in 1849, designed by Benjamin Ferrey. The new church replaced an older church situated a little way to the south, and some of the fittings from that church were transferred to the new one.

Full Description

Parish Church of St. John, Tincleton, designed by Benjamin Ferrey in "13th century style", was built in 1849. The church, with squared and coursed rubble walls comprises a chancel, nave, south chapel and vestry and north porch; above the west gable is a bell-cote. An earlier church a little to the south was demolished in the 19th century and fittings from it were transferred to the new church. <2>
