Summary

A house built in the early eighteenth century. The house was once a public house but is now private dwelling. The walls of the building are of knapped flint and banded stone covered in render, and it has a Double Roman-tile roof with stone gable copings and moulded kneelers. The windows were replaced in the nineteenth century.

‘Other 19th-century monuments include the following— … Bridge Cottage, 35 yds. S.E. of the church, was built late in the 18th or early in the 19th century and has a rendered symmetrical E. front with a projecting gabled bay in the centre, and sashed windows.‘
