Full Description

Chilcombe. Surface features in the field West of the two cottages in Chilcombe village suggest that the old village, never very large, extended from the church along the South East slope of the hill to the old crossroad. <1>

Extensive reamins of the deserted Medieval village at Chilcombe. Settlement enclosures, a trackway and field system are visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs. <3-5>
