Full Description
Stables 50 metres south-west of Athelhampton Hall. Former stable block, converted to a tea room. The stables were built in the early 17thcentury and altered in the 20th century. The one and a half storey building has ashlar stone walls with brickwork above. The thatched roof is hipped at both ends.

‘(2) ATHELHAMPTON HALL … The Stables S.W. of the house are of the first half of the 17th century and have ashlar walls with some brickwork and cob. The E. wall has two 17th-century windows with four-centred openings below square heads; a wide doorway has a chamfered four-centred head and continuous jambs.’
