Full Description

FIELD SYSTEMS: Taken from his photo's in Jany - March 1949 by R J C Atkinson. <1>

A: SY 52989171. B: SY53209158 Two areas of Md strip lynchets, area B being distinctly shown on AP PE/UK/2437/3156.
A: Two grass covered terraces averaging 8.0m wide with a drop of 1.3m between them.
B: A series of grass covered strip lynchets running in an E-W direction. The lynchets are in poor condition and average 0.5m high.

Other banks in the locality, such as that at the S.W. corner of the earthwork round CHILCOMBE HILL, appear to be comparatively modern boundary banks. <2>
