Summary

Former water mill and attached mill house, probably late eighteenth century. The house has brick walls and a hipped slate mansard roof with brick end stacks. The mill, now incorporated into the house, has brick walls and a slate mansard roof.

Full Description

MILTON MILL (80500087), house is of two storeys with attics and has brick walls and slated mansard roofs. The building does not appear on the 1769-71 map but it is included in the O.S. of 1811. The casement windows are of cast iron with small rectangular panes. Mill Cottages, 100 yds. to the S.E. do not appear on the map of 1811; they have cob walls and thatched roofs. <2>
