Summary

A probable Bronze Age round barrow which survived about 1.2-1.5 m high before World War Two. It was relatively well preserved, but had a sand quarry on the north east side. The barrow lies within Bournemouth Airport and there are no visible remains.

Full Description

Tumulus 23 paces x 4-5 ft high, centre and south well preserved except for rabbits. A largish excavation on NE apparently for sand, burial untouched. <1>

No visible remains. Site now built over by Hurn Airport. <2>
