Summary

A low oval mound excavated in 1922 by Harold St George Gray, who suggested it was natural. A small quantity of worked flint was recovered. This mound was associated with three round barrows.

Excavated by H St G Gray 1922. Non-sepulchral. Excavation unpublished. Any finds in Taunton Museum. <2>

A heather-covered mound, mutilated on the north side. Published 1:2500 survey revised. <3>

Barrow 8 (Barrow C Gray). A low oval mound about 18.3 m by 15.8 m across on the north side of Warren Hill, Hengistbury Head, adjacent to three round barrows. This mound was excavated as Mound C by H St George Gray in October 1922 and revealed to be a natural mound. A small number of worked flints were recovered. <4>
