Full Description

Round barrow marked as an earthwork on the 1888 Ordnance Survey 25 inch map. <1>

It was part of a school playground by the beginning of the twentieth century <2> and built over by the 1920s <3>.

The barrow had been dug into by John Mills when he was a boy in 1874. Four undecorated urns were recovered, the central one with a capstone. The finds are now lost. <4-6>
