Summary

An Early Bronze Age beaker was found in the cliff face about 350m west of the Double Dykes in or before 1935. It is now in the Red House Museum, Christchurch.

Full Description

A B-type beaker with eight rows of nail marks, stabs, etc was found about 350m west of the Double Dykes. (This beaker was erroneously ascribed to Sellars Farm, Southbourne, upon information given by Mr Druitt, and published as such in Proc BNSS 1935-6 by J B Calkin). The pot is now in the Red House Museum.

Considerable erosion has taken place here through the years and nothing of significance is now visible. No information on the date of the find was gained. <4>
