A Bronze Age round barrow excavated in 1935, but nothing was found. The site is now built over.

Full Description

A round barrow in heathland is marked on the Ordnance Survey 25-inch map epoch 1 (1871). The epoch 2 and 3 (1898-1909) maps show this barrow increasingly surrounded and isolated by brickworks. The epoch 4 map (1923) shows the southern edge of the barrow had been impinged on by housing development. <1-4>

Round barrow, overgrown and obscure. <5>

This barrow was opened by G Willmott in 1935 and nothing was found. <6>

No visible remains. Site built over. <7>
