Recorder 1 RPM, 12-JUN-1979 (Verbal communication). SWX2483.

Royal Archaeological Institute, 1962, Archaeological Journal 119, 60 (Serial). SWX9169.

‘Bronze Age Wessex Biconical Urn. Quarr Hill. British Museum 1880.2-12.1
Rim punched out, top of rim internal bevel hollow, shoulder applied cordon finger pointed, vertical handle imperforate, impressed decoration feature omitted.’

Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (England), 1970, An Inventory of Historical Monuments in the County of Dorset, Volume II (South East) Part 3, 473 (Monograph). SDO150.

‘Five, possibly six, barrows are known, though another (LVG 5) has been claimed between Braytown and Quarr Hill. Coles Barrow on Wool Heath (LVG 7) has not been located but (45) is probably one of two formerly noted S. of Quarr Hill. A biconical urn and a bucket urn, apparently from barrows respectively on Quarr Hill and near Wool, are now in the B.M. and D.C.M. (Ant. J. XIII (1933), 448).’
