The potential site of a Bronze Age barrow was identified at this location by the NMR field investigators. A small mound was identified on aerial photographs taken in 1970 which has since been plough-levelled (1). The site as digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.

‘A grass covered mound 18.0m. diameter and 0.5m. high. No trace of a berm or ditch. No surface finds were made. Situated in a high and exposed position, it is probably a bowl barrow. Surveyed at SY 82158397.’
