Full Description
The kiln is marked on the Ist Edition map as lying within an 'Old Chalk Pit', this associated chalk pit is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 (1) and is visible as a bare soil mark on more recent DCC vertical photographs (2-3). It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
