Full Description
Medieval or post medieval strip lynchets are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the south west of Winfrith Newburgh. The features are formed of a curvilinear bank and a curvilinear ditch positioned up to 43 m apart. The lynchets measure up to 242 m in length. (1) The lynchets are not visible on aerial photographs of 2009. (2) These features were digitally plotted as part of the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
