Full Description
A stone anchor from the mouth of Lulworth Cove recovered in 1966. It was found adjacent to part of a small Mediterranean 'tear bottle' vessel. The anchor weighs 200 lbs. and is pear shaped with a single hole through the apex. The anchor may be Breton stone. (1) The area was searched in 1985 but nothing was found. (2)
