Full Description
Mound, possible barrow on the spine of Bindon Hill. It's diameter is 37ft and its height is 3ft. {1}
A circular mound, approximately 7.5m in diameter, is visible as an earthwork on Lidar imagery of Bindon Hill <6>. It is of uncertain date and function. It is possible it could be the remains of a late prehistoric round barrow. A hollow extending from its western edge to the centre may be the result of excavation. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is visible as a low earthwork on the most recent comprehensive aerial photographs available to the project.
