Summary

A 17th century barn of nine bays with stone walls and roof carried on jointed cruck trusses forms one of the outbuildings of St Andrew's Farm, West Lulworth. The barn has a much altered external appearance and incorporates brickwork and weatherboarding repairs. The roof is of asbestos and corrugated iron. In use by the military.

A 17th century barn of nine bays with stone walls and roof carried on jointed cruck trusses forms one of the outbuildings of St Andrew's Farm, West Lulworth. <1>

SY 83658112. The barn has a much altered external appearance and incorporates brickwork and weatherboarding repairs. The roof is of asbestos and corrugated iron. In use by the military. <3>

'The parish now includes two rectangular blocks of land, one to the E. of the village round St. Andrew's Farm, and the other to the N. around Belhuish Farm, which were detached parts of East Stoke parish until quite recently. Both farms are the sites of small mediaeval settlements.'
