Full Description

Observations at the Daler site revealed a probably post medieval property or garden unmortared wall. Also found deep black soils that suggest gardening or agricultural activities, possibly in the Medieval period and certainly in the Post Medieval period. Although the area observed was limited the results seem to indicate there was no indication for any Roman or Saxon occupation in this part of Wareham and that this area also lay outside the medieval occupation of the town before the area saw activity with post medieval gardening activities. <1>
