Full Description

SY 87608281. Ditched bowl barrow, 56ft. diameter and 5 1/2ft. high on summit of slight rise. <3>

SY 872828-875822. Two round barrows on Earl's Kitchen. Scheduled. <4>

This barrow has been destoyed by the military, to whom it must have been obvious since the constructed concrete pad and firing point is advertized as "Earl's Kitchen Tumulus". Token reparation has been effected by the transference of the "antiquity star" to a newly made mound at about SY 87508300, some 200m. N. of the destroyed barrow, but this could never be mistaken for a proper barrow. <5>
